Dreamer
and dream maker

After 4 years of a successful innovation path, Jérôme Michaud-Larivière meets Luc Eric Krief at a pivotal moment when he must move from the more or less fragile start-up to the industrial company capable of competing with the markets. For the inventor, this is the happy moment when his invention will open up widely to the world, with the necessary adjustments needed in terms of reliability, process and cost reduction.

And for the industrialist, this is the opportunity to produce a successful technology without delay or errors. It is therefore a happy marriage, though for good reason, winning, one bringing his vision, the other pragmatism and experience. But both, through their alliance, are helping to make possible the great Rifkinian dream of the third industrial revolution, which is to bring diffuse energies such as those now proposed by New World Wind into intelligent networks...

But both, through their alliance, are helping to make possible the great Rifkinian dream of the third industrial revolution, which is to bring diffuse energies such as those now proposed by New World Wind into intelligent networks...

It all started…

In 2011, on a windless day, in the Luxembourg garden.

After the Fukushima disaster in the spring of 2011, Jérôme Michaud-Larivière was thinking of a proximity solution that could not replace nuclear energy, but at least offer an alternative to the old potentially dangerous energy models.
Thus, on a calm, flat day, as he saw the leaves of the trees shaking on their stems, he imagined the possibility of recovering the energy of their trembling. Multiplied by the number of leaves in a tree, he quickly imagined the energy potential that this could represent… The Wind Tree was born from a simple observation of nature. After that, it was just work.

The meeting of an inventor and an industrialist

The inventor’s vision

Evidence of a need and inspiration of nature or the harvest of lost energies (Energy Harvesting)

Since 2012, Jérôme Michaud-Larivière has participated in the development of innovative self-production solutions by translating his previous professional experiences: image, art and literature. An original itinerary that was the best asset to dare to redefine the model of the traditional wind turbine by animating the concept of the Wind Tree and, more generally, that of the Aeroleaf.
A civic engagement that is part of a new decentralized and responsible energy model, combining high technology and design. Jérôme thus intends to contribute to the emergence of sensitive and sustainable cities, freeing himself from the nuisances or limitations of old processes.
It is always with a free spirit that Jérôme approached Luc-Eric’s industrial group to give even more scope to his initial project and allow as many people as possible to appropriate this means of production.

Entrepreneurial spirit

it perceived the full potential of the Wind Tree and wanted to give it the industrial means to achieve.

For several years, Luc-Eric has been involved in activities in the most promising sectors of French industry (nuclear, aerospace, cosmetics) and met Jérôme Michaud-Larivière in early 2017, with whom affinities have been created. At the head of a small manufacturing group, Luc-Eric guessed the full potential of the Wind Tree and gave it the industrial means to establish itself as the first and undoubtedly the most eco-friendly of renewable energy production solutions.
With technical skills and financial support, the Wind Tree is reborn in a new configuration.

President of several professional associations and trade unions, deputy mayor in charge of municipal politics, Luc-Eric is committed to producing the Tree entirely in France and ensuring its international deployment. Reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, such as nuclear or other polluting energies, is its ambition by developing, here and elsewhere, this new way of producing green and responsible energy.

Both of them contribute by their alliance to make possible the big dream Rifkinien of the third industrial revolution of putting in intelligent networks the diffuse energies like those that proposes New World Wind now.
